Unfortunately, life can hit you with things that you just didn’t see coming such as the loss of your job or a pay cut. If this does happen, it’s already going to be a struggle to find a new job or to work out how you’re going to pay your bills at a reduced rate. But, if you have savings then these are going to be your safety net. They will help you provide for yourself until you can find a new job and get back on your feet. You are going to thank yourself for creating this safety net if you ever find yourself in a position where you need to use it.

As you can see, the importance of saving for a number of reasons. You never know when you are going to need a little bit of spare cash, and it’s important that you have it. If you don’t, the other option is having to borrow money which is something that you ideally want to avoid at all costs.
