If you want your team to perform well and give their all to your business, then it is so important that you take steps to increase your team productivity. If you don’t then you may find that they become unhappy, and this can stall all the positive progress your company has made.

Here are 3 steps to increase your team productivity:

1. Quality is Everything

The first thing you need to do is try and reward quality, and not quantity. Recognition is so important within the workplace. A good team or manager should always take the time to reward the work that their team members are putting in. You can give this recognition at a team level, such as within a meeting, or you can choose to hold an annual event.

Either way, it doesn’t matter, as long as you are showing that you care. When you recognize a team’s contributions, you need to focus on their efforts. If your team member has a ton of tickets but has very low customer satisfaction then you may want to praise the team member who can deliver better work overall.

2. Monitor Progress

Keep track of the projects that you happen to be working on and how far along they are. If you can do this, and if you can take the time to have daily stand-up meetings then this will help you considerably. The benefit of doing this is that it also helps you to keep your team accountable for tasks.

Try and set deadlines and make sure that you are doing everything you can to keep your team productivity moving forward. If you can do this, while asking them to report their status then this will aid you when working toward your goals as a whole. If you want your team to be more successful then another thing you can do is look into DEI. If you can do this then you will soon find that it is easier for you to get the result you want.

3. Create a Good Working Environment

It’s not often that someone performs optimally when they are under a lot of stress. If you have team members who are always worried or if they are constantly on the edge of experiencing burnout then you will soon find that they can’t perform as well as they want to. Talk to your team and let them know that it is okay for them to take breaks and that it is fine for them to have some level of balance in the day. Set time aside and make sure that you are having one-on-ones with their boss or manager.

Ask them about their personal life too, and show them that you are interested in more than just their work standards. If you can do this then you will soon find that it is easier for you to give them the support that they need and that you can create a space where they feel safe, outside of work. Things like this make a huge difference, so keep that in mind if you can.
