- Kim Kardashian and Kylie Jenner team up behind the scenes
Kylie Jenner Bachelorette Weekend marks a new step into scripted entertainment, with Jenner set to star in and executive produce the thriller drama in development at Hulu. Jenner is set to star in and executive produce the series, giving her one of her most prominent scripted acting opportunities to date. Her sister, Kim Kardashian, is also attached to the project as an executive producer.
The series is based on an unpublished book by Flora Collins and is being adapted for television by Lauren Oliver, the author and screenwriter known for Before I Fall. Oliver is also attached as an executive producer. The production team includes Aaron Kaplan and Jaiden Kaplan of Kapital Entertainment, with 20th Television involved as the studio.
The project marks a notable shift for Jenner, who has spent much of her television career appearing as herself through the family’s reality programming. While she has made appearances in entertainment projects outside reality television, Bachelorette Weekend will place her in a fully scripted dramatic role.
Jenner’s involvement also extends beyond acting. As an executive producer, she will have a role in the development of the series alongside Kardashian and the project’s other producers. The combination of acting and producing allows Jenner to expand her entertainment career beyond reality television and her business ventures.
Further details about the production schedule, additional casting, and release date have yet to be announced.
Kylie Jenner bachelorette weekend plot: a celebration becomes a murder mystery
Bachelorette Weekend centers on a group of close friends who come together for what should be a celebratory bachelorette getaway. Instead, the weekend takes a dark turn when the bride, played by Jenner, is found murdered in a pool.
The discovery turns the celebration into a murder investigation, with the bride’s closest friends becoming potential suspects. As the story unfolds, the women are forced to confront unanswered questions about their friend, their relationships, and what happened during the weekend.
Although Jenner’s character is killed early in the story, her role remains central to the narrative. Her character is positioned as the emotional and narrative focal point of the series, with the mystery gradually revealing more about her life and the circumstances surrounding her death.
The Kylie Jenner Bachelorette Weekend storyline combines elements of a murder mystery and psychological thriller with relationship-driven drama. Rather than focusing only on the investigation, the series is expected to examine the friendships within the group and the tensions that emerge as suspicion grows.
The mystery-driven format also allows the story to keep the identity and motives of the killer at the center of the plot. Details about the remaining characters and cast have not yet been revealed, leaving the series’ wider ensemble still under development.
Kardashian-Jenner duo expands its scripted television presence
Kardashian’s involvement adds another dimension to the project, as both sisters continue to expand their presence in scripted entertainment. Kardashian has increasingly taken on acting and producing roles, including her work on Hulu’s legal drama All’s Fair, where she serves as both a star and executive producer.
Her connection to Bachelorette Weekend reportedly began when the project came to her as a potential producing opportunity. After seeing the potential for the lead role, Kardashian brought the project to Kylie. The sisters subsequently joined the series, with Kylie taking on the central character and both becoming executive producers.
The project also strengthens Hulu’s ongoing relationship with the Kardashian-Jenner family. The platform is already home to The Kardashians, continuing the family’s long-standing presence on the streaming service.
For Jenner, Kylie Jenner Bachelorette Weekend could represent a significant new phase in her scripted entertainment career. Her public profile has largely been shaped by reality television, beauty and fashion, but the scripted thriller offers a chance to build a different kind of entertainment résumé.
With Jenner taking the lead role and joining the production team, the series places her at the center of a scripted project while maintaining her collaboration with Kardashian behind the scenes. If the project moves forward as planned, Bachelorette Weekend could become an important step in Jenner’s transition from reality television personality to scripted performer and producer.
