Where did the journey begin?

Kathy Colville is a successful realtor with over 37 years of experience in the industry. Her journey as a real estate agent began in 1986, shortly after deciding to sell her condo and move into a single-family home with her first husband and two small children. Kathy decided to become a licensed real estate agent to stay current with the housing market.

After completing the required courses and passing the exam, Kathy Colville joined  Town and Country Real Estate firm, where she quickly learned that holding open houses was the best way to attract buyers. She held open houses for any home in the first-time buyer’s price range and soon had her first client, which led to her becoming a full-time professional realtor. Her hard work and dedication earned her the Rookie of the Year award and a spot in the DAAR Million Dollar Club.

Kathy Colville pursued the Graduate Realtor Institute (GRI) and Certified Residential Specialist (CRS) designations to further her knowledge and expertise. She then joined REMAX SELECT Properties, where she learned from top realtors in the business and surrounded herself with mentors to guide her along the way.

As Kathy’s volume and number of homes sold grew, she realized she needed help to take her business to the next level. She became one of the first agents in her area to hire an assistant and streamline her office, which allowed her to start her first team, Kathy Colville and Associates LLC. Her team continued to grow and prosper, helping over 2,700 families find or sell their dream homes.

In 2018, Kathy Colville joined Century 21 Redwood Realty, which provided her with the cutting-edge real estate technology needed to adapt to the ever-changing industry. Her dedication and hard work earned her five Double Centurian awards with C21 Realty and a spot in the Top 500 Realtors in the Northern Virginia area. She is also one of the top 1% of realtors in the country, holding a position in the Top 5 Real Estate Companies in the United States and number 1 in Virginia.

Even during the pandemic, Kathy Colville’s team continued to thrive by adapting to virtual appointments, video showings, and maintaining excellent communication throughout the process with families. In 2020 and 2021, her team had two of their best years yet.
